The Conflict Awareness School 2025 was an initiative designed to broaden Armenia’s understanding of conflict beyond conventional military threats. While public attention often centred on the danger posed by Azerbaijan, the program emphasised the less visible hybrid, internal, and psychological dimensions of conflict — including disinformation, cyber threats, and strategic manipulation by external actors and other regional powers.
Through interdisciplinary seminars, discussions, and field visits, the program challenged participants to rethink the notion of “conflict” in the Armenian context and provided them with the analytical tools and strategic vision necessary to navigate Armenia’s evolving security challenges.
The inaugural School brought together around 30 participants and several professionals from Armenia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and beyond, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives on Armenia’s security and resilience.
